Highlights from the May 2019 meeting.
Due to clear skies, we had an enjoyable observing evening. Using the societies solar scope and a
pair of 25x100 binoculars with a solar filter attached, we got some glorious views of some sun spots.
Mid evening we had teas and biscuits, courtesy of Glenys and Malcolm, followed by lunar observations
using the societies 72mm ED scope, purchased from Northern Optics, who also brought a set of Helios
25x100 binoculars for a wider view. Plus Charles brought his excellent camera set up.
We also had a chance to discuss ideas for future meetings.
