Product Description

This high performance Skywatcher (OVL) CCD filter transmits only the Hydrogen Beta emission line, and therefore is useful for greatly increasing the contrast of objects that glow in the corresponding region of the spectrum, for example the Horsehead, Cocoon and California nebulae.

Available in 1.25" and 2" sizes.

Recommended for capturing H-beta emitting objects using CCD photography under dark skies. Though some experienced users have found that they can be used visually under perfect conditions with high end telescopes.
